Race Yourself - Glass
Description:
Race Yourself for Google Glass is a collection of augmented reality fitness games created in Unity where the player can choose one of the following games:
Boulder Chase - The player has to run away and survive as long as possible while being chased by a boulder
Zombie Attack - The player has to shoot zombies by looking at them with Glass and survive as long as possible.
Track Mode - The player is placed into an olympic stadium where they have to race against a track star which speeds up each time he is beaten
Train Mode - The player must race against a train to save the damsel in distress at the end of the track
Timespan:
The beta was created within a span of about 8 months with a team of 6 people.
The Team and My Work:
The team comprised of 6 people - 2 worked on the back-end as well as server work, 1 person worked on creating tools for us to use with Unity and NGUI, and the final 2 including me worked on the front end of the product creating the main game. My work on this product includes:

- Race Yourself - The player must race against one of their previous tracks. The opponent appears as an augmented reality person which can overtake or fall behind the player based on their speed. The player can also view their fitness information as part of a 3D HUD created with NGUI.
- Snack Run - The player can choose to play a variety of mini games while they run a distance that they have selected. These mini games include:

- Creating the main menus and HUD using NGUI and some custom tools
- Creating the gameplay and enemy behaviour for some of the snacks, including Boulder Chase, Zombie Attack and Track Mode
- Implemented some of the gameplay logic for the main base game
- Created the front-end of the "Challenge a Friend" functionality
- Implemented initial Gesture detection for Glass
- Implemented camera rotation using an Android library with JNI calls
- Implemented a third person camera
- Worked on a number of other unfinished Snack Run mini-games
